A Natural Love
These farm-focused images are a happy co-mingling of my two obsessions: food and photography! For the past 12 years I’ve enjoyed the pleasures of our local Farmer’s Market both enriching our family table with healthful and locally grown eats but also developing wonderful friendships with the many talented growers of our little corner of Appalachia. The High Country of North Carolina supports a wonderful community of farmers who often let me amble, camera in hand, between their cultivated rows and greenhouses. I typically arrive in the early hours when the light produces beautiful color and more importantly the livestock have not yet been fed - if you’ve ever tried chasing a chicken down you’ll know what I mean!
